Tax Credits, though less than in previous years are still available until December 2011 on select systems, achieving efficiency ratings prescribed by the US Department of Energy.
Heat Pump Systems that qualify include Carrier Products listed here as well as many of our Mistubishi Ductless Systems, and our Waterfurnace Geothermal Systems. Some Propane and Natural Gas Furnaces,
as well as Air Conditioning Condensers also qualify.
Geothermal systems qualify for the full 30% Credit with no cap.
The installation must be in your primary residence.
If you claimed the full Tax Credit in previous years, you may not do so again this year, even if you purchase qualifing equipment.
